Automatic transmission (4 A/T)

General description

For the cars equipped with additional resources of passive safety (safety cushion):

  • Service of system of a safety cushion and the interfaced systems should be carried out only by the authorized dealer of SUZUKI. Non-compliance with precautionary measures can lead to inadvertent operation of system or bring system into a non-working condition. In both cases heavy traumas are possible.
  • Work on maintenance should begin at least in 90 seconds after the ignition key is transferred to the situation "LOCK" (BLOCKING) and "minus" the cable is disconnected from the battery. Otherwise the system can work from reserve energy of the module of sensors and diagnostics (KDM).

The automatic transmission represents completely automatic type with three speeds plus raising transfer (O/D).

The hydrotransformer represents the three-element, single-step and diphasic type equipped elektronno with the operated mechanism of blocking. The device of gear shifting consists of 3 ranks of the planetary transfer, three couplings of the disk type, four brakes of disk type and three couplings of a free wheeling. Transfer is switched by a choice of one of 6 provisions (“P”, “R”, “N”, “D”, “2” and “L”) by means of the lever of the choice established on a floor. On the handle of the lever there is a switch of raising transfer (O/D) which allows to be switched up in a mode of raising transfer (except for 4 of L) and to be switched down from a mode of raising transfer. Besides, by means of the switch of provision of a parking \neutral of P/N located on a console box, it is possible to choose time of change of transfers from two modes, normal and under way.
